Welcome to the electronic portal of the Embassy of Mozambique in Doha, created exclusively to contribute to promoting the good image of Mozambique in the Gulf region, particularly with the State of Qatar.
The Republic of Mozambique and the State of Qatar established diplomatic relations in June 1994, and over this period, the two countries have been developing friendly and cooperative relations in various domains, with emphasis on trade exchanges, air connectivity, and political-diplomatic coordination on global matters in international forums.
In November 2021, the Embassy of the Republic of Mozambique in Doha was established with the appointment of the first Resident Ambassador in Doha. The Embassy's agenda consists fundamentally of deepening the friendly relations between the two nations, with a view to contributing to the economic development of the country and the improvement of the living conditions of its citizens. The Embassy also aims to serve the Mozambican community residing in Qatar, offering consular services and assistance for their well-being.
The geo-strategic location of both countries as gateways to the Southern African market and the Gulf region, respectively, offers mutual complementarity between the two countries, for the expansion of bilateral cooperation in various potential areas such as tourism, transport and communications, agriculture, trade and industry, renewable energies, among others.
We hope that this platform represents the foundation for the present and future of Mozambique-Qatar relations, ensuring interaction and efficient service provision to visitors, including the sharing of relevant information that results in user satisfaction and engagement, as well as the pursuit of opportunities for the development of partnerships, investments, and other initiatives that may generate mutual benefits for the two brotherly countries.
