
Marriage Celebration
❖ Marriages celebrated at the Embassy of Mozambique:
Between Mozambicans residing in Qatar:
ID Card (B.I.);
Birth Certificate legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs;
Criminal record from the country of residence (Qatar) for both parties.
Certificate of Matrimonial Capacity Request F0rm
With a foreign citizen in Qatar (one of the spouses is a foreigner):
Copy of the foreign citizen’s passport;
ID Card (B.I.);
Certificate of matrimonial capacity:
Declaration of matrimonial capacity issued by the foreigner’s country of origin.
Notes:
Copy of ID cards and birth certificates must be legalized by the:
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of all parties in their country of origin, or
Embassy of their county in Qatar, if available, or
Mozambican Embassy in their country of origin;
All documents issued in a non-Portuguese language must be translated into Portuguese and fully legalized with all required stamps.
A public notice will be published at the embassy for X period. If there is no objection, the marriage is celebrated.
