
Civil Registration
❖ Birth Registration Requirements:
- Birth Notification issued by the competent authority; 
- Parents' identification documents (ID card, Passport, Residence Card) 
- Edit the consulate registration form, add the child, and resubmit. 
Note: If the birth registration is done more than 180 days after the child’s birth, a fee of X applies.
❖ Marriage Registration Requirements:
- Birth Certificate; 
- ID Card, Passport, Residence Card/Certificate 
Notes:
- Copy of ID cards and birth certificates must be legalized by the: - Ministry of Foreign Affairs of all parties in their country of origin, or 
- Embassy of their county in Qatar, if available, or 
- Mozambican Embassy in their country of origin; 
 
❖ Death Registration Requirements:
- Death Notification issued by the competent authority; 
- Identification documents of the deceased (ID Card, Passport, Residence Card) 
Notes:
- All documents issued in a non-Portuguese language must be translated into Portuguese and fully legalized. 
- Passports and Qatar Resident Cards do not require stamps or legalizations.
